The Trust (IRRT) shall mainly operate in these sectors (listed in sequential order of priority):

EDUCATION

Our Activities

  • Assistance to the extremely poor who want to study but have absolutely no resources to pay for even basic school education
  • Hard working and talented students can be supported for higher education also
  • Priority will be given to vocational education, which develop skills for higher paying employment.
  • Priority to the girl child education
  • Healthy mid-day meals, which encourage parents’ of very poor students to send their children to school.
  • Boy/Girl segregated toilets and facilities of clean drinking water for poor schools.
  • Skill development for women for gainful employment such as sewing, basket weaving, etc.
  • Teacher training for teachers from poor localities
  • Stipend to student graduates who volunteer as temporary teachers in needy schools under “Teach for Nepal” or other similar programs.
  • Providing basic teaching aids such as black boards, chalk, books, notebooks, etc. to poor schools.
  • Providing for and promoting awareness of use of hygienic sanitary pads to girl students of schools in poor localities
  • To propagate and try to include in school syllabus the two important phrases: “WORK IS WORSHIP” & “DIGNITY OF LABOR” which will help in producing highly industrious workforce in future.

HEALTHCARE & SANITATION

Our Activities

  • Medical assistance to the very poor who risk loss of life if he/she cannot avail immediate medical care
  • Assistance to very poor who are suffering from terminal illness and have no means of their own to avail even basic medical care.
  • Assistance of any sort to health posts or clinics in remote rural areas inhabited by poor people.
  • Assistance to resource constrained programs for training health assistants for deployment in very poor rural localities.
  • Assistance to resource constrained programs for the care of patients suffering from “social taboo” communicable disease such as HIV/AIDS, leprosy, etc.
  • Assistance for construction of cheap but hygienic male/female segregated toilets and clean drinking water facilities in rural locations
  • Incentives and prizes to journalists/writers who write on health and sanitary awareness in poor localities.

LIVELIHOOD

Assistance to people suffering from abject poverty i.e. people who do not have the resources to basic necessities like even a meal a day to stay alive, and/or even one pair of simple clothes to cover their bodies or a roof over their heads (i.e, Roti, Kapada, Makaan)

OLD AGE / ORPHANAGE

Assistance to Old age homes, Orphanages, Holy places

SOCIAL AWARENESS

Programs to raise awareness and/or prevent social evils:

  • Child abuse/child labor/child marriage
  • Caste and gender discrimination (Untouchability)
  • Communal hatred
  • Environmental degradation
  • Superstitions

DISASTER RELIEF

Assistance during natural calamities such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, etc.

ART & CULTURE

Reward one or two prominent persons who work for preservation and promotion of Music, Art, culture, religion, heritage, and Literature

ENERGY, TOURISM, AGRICULTURE

Reward one or two prominent persons who work for promotion of awareness of sustainable development in renewable energy (hydro, solar, wind), tourism and agricultural development sectors

SMALL BUSINESS

Assistance to small businesses - to deserving resources constrained entrepreneurs who have no other source of funding including banks.
